Melanie's the founder of Board Game Informer, but most of all, a passionate board gamer. As a kid, her dad introduced her to the wonders of tabletop board games and RPGs, immersing herself in completely fantastical realms and universes filled with whimsy and adventures that she would continue to indulge well into her adulthood. While many things continue to change in her life over the years, one of the few passions that stayed with her was a love for all things tabletop!
Melanie has a B.A. in English from the University of Maryland. Prior to creating Board Game Informer, she has contributed to outlets like Board Game Empire, Tabletop Gaming, Tabletop World, and several others on a freelance basis. Together with her husband, Mark, Melanie is also the host and organizer of many epic tabletop gaming sessions on weekends in her humble home found in Maryland.
